Original, authentic, one-of-a-kind, and unique artwork painted on cotton or linen canvas.
Our paintings are stretched in California on wooden stretcher bars, and stapled on the back of the painting
Some paintings have a wooden, custom-made frame around it.  If the "Gallery Wrap" is specified, then there's no wooden frame, and the canvas is wrapped around the edges.
All paintings are shipped with a certificate of authenticity, hanging nails, and are ready to hang on a wall.

My visit to Nepal

In October 2018, I visited Nepal and Tashi's home, Upper Mustang. To get to Mustang, we flew into one of the most dangerous mountain airports and set out in a caravan on a 10-day journey. After 4 days in the saddle, I met Tashi Gurung in the remote Lo Manthang.

"The Last Kingdom"

In April 2022, we hosted Tashi's first solo exhibit at Art House SF. Tashi lives in a very remote and very unique Upper Mustang (formerly Mustang Kingdom). Mustang was a restricted kingdom until 1992 which makes it one of the most preserved regions in the world.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is this artwork original? How is it framed?
Under "TECHNIQUE" column above, if it says Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, or Fabric then yes, this is authentic, original, one-of-the-kind artwork delivered to us directly by the artist and stretched & framed in California. If it says "Print", then this is a very accurate reproduction of the original work.

Every work is ready to be hung and, in most cases, framed. See under "FRAMING" column above. One of the photos of the artwork is always with a frame. We try to pick the best frame for each work, see our framing guide for details.

If you email us a photo of your room, we'll photoshop the artwork so you can see how it'd fit in your house. We can also send you a video of an artwork so you can see it from all sides. See our YouTube channel for examples.
